More On: Assassin's Creed

Ubisoft will hold its game showcase event, Ubisoft Forward, on Saturday, September 10th at 3:00pm Eastern Time. It will feature updates on upcoming games Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Skull and Bones, and the long-awaited reveal of the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. A pre-show will begin 25 minutes prior to the main showcase and will include updates on Ubisoft’s live service titles Brawlhalla, For Honor, The Crew 2, Anno 1880, and more.

The showcase appears to be a lengthy one, if Twitch drop rewards are any indication. Those watching either the official stream or a number of partnered co-streamers will receive in-game rewards for hitting viewership milestones of 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes.

Ubisoft Forward cannot come soon enough for the French publisher, as the showcase has already fallen victim to numerous leaks, both internal and external. In fact, after weeks of leaks surrounding the next Assassin’s Creed game, the company officially confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the next title in the series.

Prolific industry leaker and insider Tom Henderson also reported that Ubisoft intends to reveal a number of Assassin’s Creed titles at the Forward event. Henderson claims the aforementioned Mirage will be set in Baghdad and see players controlling Basim from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Several other games are also planned for reveal, according to Henderson: a Japan-set samurai title codenamed Project Red, a title set during the 16th century European witch hunts codenamed Project Hexe, a mobile game codenamed Project Jade, and a virtual reality game codenamed Project Nexus.

The leaks did not stop with Assassin’s Creed however, as Video Games Chronicle reported that Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland was leaked on Ubisoft’s own online storefront before quickly being taken down, indicating that it may also make an appearance at Ubisoft Forward. Fortunately for both fans and Ubisoft alike, we don’t have to wait much longer for the official word on these various titles.
