CD Projekt RED has shared new details about upcoming news regarding Cyberpunk 2077, with a major expansion coming and a juicy patch to the base game. Keanu Reeves is confirmed to return as Johnny Silverhand in the DLC expansion titled Phantom Liberty. The trailer teases the protagonist V taking an oath to "faithfully serve the New United States of America" while Silverhand disapproves of it as a bad idea. Phantom Liberty will feature a brand new cast of characters to meet inside a new location within Night City.
More details were also shared about the latest update to the base game, which introduces equippable items from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners to the game. The jacket worn by David Martinez, the anime's protagonist and another iconic shotgun can be found within this new update. A clothing transmog system, cross platform progression and new minigames have been added as well.
The Phantom City expansion will be available some time in 2023. It will only be on Stadia, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC versions of Cyberpunk 2077. Patch 1.6, also known as the Edgerunners update, will be the final update for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
