Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is a new 2.5D action RPG that is coming to consoles and PC on May 10th. But what make Eiyuden Chronicle Rising so cool is the fact that this game is setting the stage for 2023's Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, allowing players to come into the second game with knowledge of the world, the story, and some decent loot.
Eiyuden Chronicle Rising takes place primarily in "Runebarrows" - a rift that has been opened beneath a town. Playing as three varied heroes, players will delve into this dungeon in seek of fortune, in turn bringing back goods that can help build up the town. Along the way, players will be able to hoard cross-content to take into Hundred Heroes, including cosmetic items, equipment, and trade goods. You can even name stuff, and have those names carry over into the second game.
Developing two games in tandem with each other is a great idea, and though this first game might be shorter, it looks as though experiencing it first will make Hundred Heroes all the richer when it arrives.
Eiyuden Chronicle Rising will release on May 10 on Xbox Consoles, PlayStation Consoles, Nintendo Switch, Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store for $14.99. The game will also be available as part of Xbox and PC Game Pass.
