Barrel Smash Studios announced a release date for their upcoming tower defense game titled Riftbound. The game will feature more than 50 levels and multiple difficulties.
Riftbound takes place in a magical realm where an evil Necromancer breaks free from his prison and spreads his malice across the lands. You play as a young spell-caster, along with the people of the Great Oak to restore harmony and banish the evil once and for all.
Combat is real time and wave based, featuring enemies ranging from skeletons and berserkers to spearblasters and deadly adversaries. There will be boss battles of course, including the aforementioned Necromancer! More than 40 spells will be at your disposal that can be evolved and combo'ed with one another. Embark on side quests to get more spells and upgrades to buff up your arsenal and venture into beautiful vistas including the Deep Woods, Snowcap Mountains and the Blighted Forest.
