One of my favorite things about Star Wars films back in the 70s and 80s was watching the making of specials that would inevitably appear on TV after the movies came out. This was before the advent of VHS, so catching scenes from your favorite movies on your TV at home was a special treat. Seeing the technical hoops the makers of these classics jumped through to put the action on the screen was its own special thrill.
In a similar vein, Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, the LEGO Group and LucasFilm Games today released a new behind-the-scenes video about the making of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Though the video is brief, you do get to learn some really cool stuff (like the fact that they constructed the giant ships completely out of LEGO - exterior and interior). Check it out:
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a stellar game (possibly my favorite Star Wars game of all time), so I'm really looking forward to seeing what these folks do with the entire saga, including the two newest films that have never been adapted in the LEGO format.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is scheduled to release on April 5, 2022 on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
