King of Seas, the pirate-themed action RPG from developer 3DClouds, today dropped a demo into Xbox One, Steam, and Nintendo Switch so we call a get a taste of the swashbuckling fun.
King of Seas takes place in a procedurally generated world, with players taking on missions involving lost islands, secret treasures, and ferocious sea battles. You know, pirate stuff. Despite the procedural generation, I don't get the sense that King of Seas is a roguelike, which is a bit of a relief. I've had quite enough of those for the time being. The full game releases on May 25th, which should be more than enough time to work through the demo.
I downloaded the demo on Switch, and plan on checking it out this afternoon once work dies down. I'll report back with tales of my heroic adventures. As usual, the demo is not super easy to find in the eShop. Search for King of Seas in the search bar, then download the demo from the preorder page. You can also find the demo on the Microsoft Store and on Steam. Though there currently is no demo, King of Seas is also scheduled to release on PlayStation 4.
