As much as I try to pay attention to everything in the universe, sometimes things slip by me. As such, I was totally unprepared this morning to see a trailer for Subnautica: Below Zero. I only had the vaguest inkling that the game was under development at all, but here we are.
Unknown Worlds today released a cinematic trailer showing some of the obstacles that players will have to contend with in the new game, and they are at once surprising, terrifying, and hilarious.
At some point in the last couple of years, the original Subnautica transitioned from a cult classic to a flat-out classic. Having a sequel right around the corner is very exciting - especially since a lot of folks are still discovering the first game, due to the PlayStation recently including it in a giveaway. Subnautica is hugely popular, so expect Below Zero to make a splash when it lands.
Subnautica: Below Zero is scheduled to launch on May 14, 2021 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
