Swarm VR, the high-flying action title by Greensky Games launches today on Oculus Quest and Rift.
With players swinging from platform to platform with a handy-dandy grapple gun, the Spider-Man comparisons come quickly to mind. But I'm more reminded of Bionic Commando, the NES game that had players swinging around and doing battle against baddies in underground bases. This game seems to take players out of the bunkers and into the sky, with plenty of robot aliens to blast as they swoop around.
A variety of fun mechanics help players along the way. A bullet-time-like slowing mechanic is available to help with difficult shots, and players are able to use an ability called "Zip" to jet across the arena, taking baddies out along the way. Tons of weapon options are available, and the whole affair looks like a fiery good time.
Players can begin their quest to dominate the leaderboards today. Swarm VR is available on the Oculus Store with cross-buy support.
