Chivalry 2, the upcoming massive battle simulator, came out swinging its sword all over the place today, flinging new information about its upcoming release and closed beta every which way. Let's see if I can distill some of this down to a moderately sized news post, shall we?
Chivalry 2 is a massive medieval battle simulator, with up to 64 players bashing heads in giant cross-platform battles. Think Braveheart, or Battle of the Bastards from Game of Thrones, and you get the picture. Players will be able to chose from one of 12 subclasses to take to the battlefield, which is also littered with siege engines (ballistae, catapults, battering rams, etc). The whole thing seems very visceral and bloody:
To keep the giant battles flowing, Chivalry 2 is going to offer cross-play between PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on the Epic Games Store. Preorders are live today on all of the above platforms, and preordering gets you some sweet weapons skins, and access to the cross-play closed beta which is taking place on April 23-26.
The official release of Chivalry 2 will take place on June 8, 2021. The standard edition will retail for $39.99, with a special edition retailing for $49.99 on all platforms. There. I think I boiled it all down. Good job me.
