Breathedge, a survival game that takes place is space, is preparing to come out of early access with it's 1.0 version later this month. Developed by Redruins Software and published by HypeTrain Digital, Breathedge might look like a normal survival space sim at first glance, but this tagline caught my attention:
"Survive in open space! Together with your own immortal chicken, discover the truth behind your sudden spaceship crash in this ironic outer space survival-adventure game."
Wait. Immortal chicken? That alone was enough to get me to check out this trailer, which is pretty fun:
But then I started digging around, and I located this Russian trailer, which really sells Breathedge's whacko dark sense of humor. Being able to read a little bit of Russian, I was able to pick out the phrases "Black humor" and "Immortal Chicken", which really seem to be the primary selling points for this game.
So then I meandered over to Breathedge's Steam page, where this lunacy was waiting for me:
So yeah, Breathedge. Cool graphics, bonkers trailers and immortal chickens. Now available on Steam, with the full 1.0 version coming soon.
