It's been a while since we've heard about Cloudpunk. Announced by studio Ion Lands in late 2018 for a Steam release, they've now confirmed that it's also headed to PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in "early 2020."
The game is about a woman named Rania, who works for a legally-gray delivery service in the cyberpunk dystopia of Nivalis. The art style is reminiscent of other voxel-built indie games and the out-of-vehicle action reminds me of Inside, but Cloudpunk undeniably has a style all its own. It looks like the Blade Runner game I've always wanted, that is until The Last Night finally comes out.
In any case I'm strongly anticipating Cloudpunk. I love games that not only give me a expertly-realized world to explore, but one that has some gameplay meat on its bones, the kind of game that lets you immerse yourself and get lost in its mechanics. Cloudpunk looks to deliver on both fronts.
