Atari Vault Extended DLC released for PC

More On: Atari Vault

While you are waiting for whatever the hell is going on that new Atari console (I still don’t believe it will ever really release), you can kill some time playing a bunch of 1980’s Atari classics on PC.

Atari Vault, which contains 100 original Atari games from the 70’s and 80’s, retails on Steam for ten bucks, and it’s on sale right now for $5.99. Considering that each of these games originally retailed for 30-40 dollars, we’ll call the original price $3500. This means that this collection represents a savings of 99.828%. Pretty good, if you like Atari games.

Then yesterday, with no warning, Atari tossed in another 50 games for $2.99, which represents a slightly better savings of 99.829%. Bonus!

This new DLC is available on Steam, and includes the following:

Fourteen Arcade Games: Avalanche, Atari Baseball, Atari Basketball, Canyon Bomber, Destroyer, Dominos, Fire Truck, Atari Football, Maze Invaders, Monte Carlo, Pool Shark, Sky Diver, Atari Soccer, and Super Bug

Sixteen Atari 5200 Games: Asteroids, Centipede, Countermeasure, Final Legacy, Micro-Gammon, Millipede, Miniature Golf, Missile Command, Realsports Baseball, Realsports Basketball, Realsports Football, Realsports Soccer, Realsports Tennis, Star Raiders, Super Breakout, and Xari Arena

Twelve M Network Games for the Atari 2600: Air Raiders, Armor Ambush, Astroblast, Dark Cavern, Frogs and Flies, International Soccer, Sea Battle, Space Attack, Star Strike, Super Challenge Baseball, Super Challenge Football, and Swordfight

Eight Prototype and Limited-edition Homebrew Games for the Atari 2600: Adventure II, Aquaventure, Frog Pond, Holey Moley, Motorodeo, Saboteur, Wizard, and Yars' Return

The sale prices on Steam end on December 3, so you might wanna snag this collection this weekend if you are interested. At full price, the collection only represents a savings of 99.714%. Bummer.
