Well, it wasn't a big secret anymore since we had a bunch of leaks come out, but the opening ceremonies saw the final unveiling of Diablo IV. After the debacle of last year, it's great to finally see the game most people have been wishing for.
Three classes were revealed with the Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid being playable at BlizzCon. Blizzard is going back its roots and you'll get a very dark themed game. You'll see how dark from both the cinematic video and gameplay video below. But suffice to say, there aren't any rainbows and bright colors anywhere to be found.
And it looks like you'll have mounts to ride. Only horses were shown, but I've heard there will be others as well.
A combo of Diablo II's atmosphere with the combat style of Diablo III, Diablo IV looks really, really good to me. Yes, it's early. And let's hope Blizzard doesn't do anything like introduce an auction house or some sort of microtransaction that ruins the game. For now, I'll be positive about what I've seen and hope for the best.
Diablo IV will be out for not only PC but for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which seems to signify that it's coming sooner rather than later. But I wouldn't bet that they just said that and are aiming for a time frame of when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett are released.
Either way, I can't wait for this game. I'm ready to go back Hell.
