More On: Argonus and the Gods of Stone

There are few things in life that give me more pleasure than settling in on a rainy Sunday afternoon to watch an old Ray Harryhausen action adventure flick. Apparently, the dev team at Zojoi have similar tastes, as the new trailer for Argonus and the Gods of Stone absolutely screams "1950's Hollywood magic".

I mean, just look at this guy:

Well, I may be off by a decade, because according to the press release, we are dealing with 1960's Hollywood magic, but who's counting?

"Venture through Argonus and the Gods of Stone's world. Inspired by Greek mythology and the stop-motion movies of the 60s, you will have to face vengeful monsters and powerful gods to escape the island on which the hero, Argonus, finds himself stranded."

Some of Argonus' features, hot from the Steam page:

  • Explore a beautifully-rendered Greek isle and discover a world of gods and monsters.
  • Solve intriguing in-world puzzles and unlock ancient mysteries.
  • Experience a thrilling mythological story, narrated by Betsy Brantley (Princess Bride, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?).
  • Enjoy a dynamic soundtrack by composer Rich Douglas.
  • Utilize a streamlined command & inventory system, keeping you immersed in the adventure.
  • Unlock 20 Steam achievements.

Argonus and the Gods of Stone releases on Steam on October 8th. Interested parties can wishlist the game here.
