THQ Nordic, the publisher of dozens of video games from Alan Wake to theHunter, has recently announced two new games for release, with a third announcement coming tomorrow at 2 PM Eastern Time.
The first game, announced yesterday, will be a remake of the hit 2003 video game, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. The game will be available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. In addition to the remake of the original game, the game will feature a brand new multiplayer mode. You can find the announcement trailer below. A release date has not yet been announced.
Additionally, Darksiders Genesis was announced today. This will be the first entry into the Darksiders series to feature an exclusively top-down perspective. The game will feature the story of 'Strife,' the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, who is called upon to save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer. In addition to the classic platforms (PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch), Darksiders Genesis will also be making an appearance on Google's new Stadia platform. While we do know the game will be releasing in 2019, this game also does not have a firm launch date.
You can find the announcement trailer below.
Given that THQ Nordic hyped up the news with the announcement of three new games and then memed us with SpongeBob SquarePants yesterday, it is hard to tell what the next game announcement will be, but we will definitely post about it on Gaming Nexus as soon as we find out.
