The Sinking City slithers ever closer to its June 27th release on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Publisher Bigben and Frogwares Studio have an early look at one of the game's missions, which shows off the mix of investigation, combat and interaction that makes up the gameplay. I particularly like that the Oakmont police really don't like you, which means no one will help or guide you around by the hand. You need to use your map to locate actual street names; there is no objective marker here. The character interaction seems a bit...hokey to me, but then again you're basically in a city where everyone is nuts, so it might fit the setting.

THE SINKING CITY - A DELICATE MATTER GAMEPLAY TRAILER
Lesquin, France, May 2, 2019 — Bigben and Frogwares studio are pleased to release a gameplay video showing A Delicate Matter, a mission from The Sinking City that can be started a few hours into the game. The video shows how the main investigation mechanics work.
During this mission, Mr. Throgmorthon, head of one of the leading families in Oakmont, asks Charles to look into a delicate matter: a receiver of stolen art has disappeared just before closing the sale of a valuable item, and Throgmorthon wants it back at all costs. As the investigation unfolds, the player finds out that the story is far more complicated than it first seemed. Without being prompted by the game, the player must question more and more witnesses throughout the town, and use logic to get to the bottom of things.
