More On: Jurassic World Evolution

Frontier Developments has announced that the Carnivore DLC Pack for Jurassic World Evolution is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One for $4.99. This pack adds three new meat-munching dinos: Herrerasaurus, a very ancient and primitive carnivore with a narrow build; Proceratosaurus, the oldest known ancestor to T-Rex; and Acrocanthosaurus, a large, thickly-muscled monster that walked with a hunched posture to accommodate its unusual inner-ear structure. This pack accompanies the Capture Mode update, which adds a free camera and the ability to disable the in-game HUD, which should make for attractive screenshots. You can check out a trailer for this DLC below.

The Jurassic World Evolution: Carnivore Dinosaur Pack introduces three new meat-eating dinosaurs to players’ islands.
  • The Herrerasaurus is a well-adapted carnivore with a narrow skull and serrated teeth for tearing into flesh, along with an unusually flexible joint in its lower jaw, allowing it to pin prey with a vice-like grip.
  • The Proceratosaurus is small in stature but this carnivorous two-legged dinosaur from the middle Jurassic period is an ancient relative of the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.
  • The Acrocanthosaurus is a large and muscular dinosaur from the Cretaceous period. Studies of its skull and inner-ear reveal it would have had an unusual posture, lowering its head when running to maintain balance.

Also available today, all Jurassic World Evolution players will receive a free game update introducing ‘Capture Mode.’ Players can now freely control the camera and deactivate the in-game HUD to take the best-ever screenshots of their dinosaurs.

Jurassic World Evolution: Carnivore Dinosaur Pack is available now for £3.99 ($4.99, €4.99) on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One digital stores. Downloadable content requires Jurassic World Evolution to play. Pricing may differ between platform and territory.
