Four Sniper Elite projects announced

In a recent video reveal prepared by Rebellion Games CEO Jason Kingsley confirmed the existence of four different Sniper Elite games in the works:

  • Sniper Elite V2 Remastered - a current-gen remaster of this 2012 game 
  • Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition on Switch - a Nintendo platform is getting the series for the first time, some time in 2019
  • A Sniper Elite game for VR - in development under a partnership with Just Add Water from the Oddworld and Gravity Crash series.
  • Sniper Elite 5? - while the official title its not mentioned, the sequel to Sniper Elite 4 is in development

Check out the trailer below for Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. The game will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime in 2019 and will bring with it enhanced graphics in 4K HDR display, new playable characters, a photo mode, and expanded online multiplayer in addition to all of the the original content ever released.  

Although details were sparse, expect a full reveal of Sniper Elite VR later this year and news on the sequel to Sniper Elite 4 probably in 2020.
