Call of Duty's approach to the battle royale genre, Blackout, is now available for everyone to try out for free. Running now until January 24, players can download the free trial on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Progress and items earned in-game during the trial is saved for players that purchase the full game.
The developers have just added a new Blackout mode called "Down But Not Out" that's changes the gameplay in that downed players can rejoin their four-person team during each new collapse of the circle (except for the final). However, at least one member of the team must survive to ensure the others can revive. This mode is reason enough for me to jump back in and spend more time with Blackout.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
