RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures brings the management sim to Switch

RollerCoaster Tycoon is a legend in the management sim genre--series creator Chris Sawyer famously coded the original game entirely in assembly--and the franchise is still a feather in Atari's cap to this day. The latest entry, RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures, is now on Nintendo Switch, which means you can construct your dream park on the bus, in study hall, or even in bed. This new entry adds adventure mode, where random events will force you to make tough decisions about the future of your park. To facilitate decision making and construction, the game features intuitive new management controls and supports both the touch screen and Joy-Cons.

I was never a huge fan of RollerCoaster Tycoon but I remember it was a massive hit with my high school class. They were usually sneaking time to play it during computer lab. Now that the series is on the Switch, a whole new generation of kids will be neglecting studies to shore up a rickety coaster or head off the latest food poisoning catastrophe at the food court.
