I'm really, really hoping Starflight 3 becomes a reality. Unfortunately, they are 46% from their goal with less than 14 hours to go. One of my old friends from college is working on it and I really would love for it to go through and have him work on one of his favorite games of the past.
While it might not reach its goal, someone tweeted out to Elon Musk about the game hoping to get one final shot at funding the game. Elon heard, but he mentioned another space game that's already been remade.
The folks at HumaHead even made one bundle that's for Elon. It would be kinda funny to meet an alien race known as Elons if it were to happen. Hell, their ships could be Tesla powered.
For now though, it looks like Starflight 3 will not come to fruition and that's a great bummer. I hope Humahead finds another way to get this game off the ground though as I think it needs to happen. It would be great to see an entire new generation of gamers experience one of the most influential games of my time with today's technology.
