The 3dRudder, which we reviewed here, is now not only available in Microsoft stores and online at Microsoft.com, it is also even easier to attach: all you have to do is plug the 3dRudder in the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
The Adaptive Controller has 2 USB ports, one on each side. When you plug the 3dRudder in the right USB port, it takes the functionality of the right stick of the traditional gamepad -for camera control, gaze & aiming. Likewise, when you plug it in the left port it takes the functionality of the left stick -to move your character or vehicle, depending on in-game controls. Once your 3dRudder is plugged in, you just put your feet on it and start playing.
This is a boon to players suffering various mobility issues. With the 3dRudder, they can make use of their feet while playing games requiring a lot of physical input. The 3dRudder can be used for a number of inputs:
The 3DRudder is priced at $99.
