With less than a week until the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta goes live, we've gotten our first look at what to expect in Blackout. Earlier this week, the Call of Duty twitter showed us the map with this tweet:
Where are you dropping first?

This is Blackout, featuring the largest map in Call of Duty history. Pre-order #BlackOps4 and get access to the Blackout Beta, playable September 10 on PS4: https://t.co/XFvGMDwF3M pic.twitter.com/RAxzzDxjPO
Now, today, we have our first trailer, showing off a bunch of locales, weapons, and skins we'll see in the mode. To be honest, I got some chills watching that trailer, as I would expect a lot of Call of Duty veterans might. Seeing all the maps I used to play together in one place gets me just a little bit more excited. When I first saw Blackout, I thought what I think a lot of people thought: "Oh, another Battle Royale game in a sea of Battle Royale games". This trailer gives me some hope that the team at Treyarch has put enough of their soul into the game mode to set it apart. We'll have to wait until next week to truly see, but this is a good start.
