Sony announced two new PlayStation VR bundles this morning via the PlayStation Blog, each of which includes two higher-end games (one new release and one beloved slightly older title).
The first bundle will retail for $349.99, and will contain the awesome-looking CREED: Rise to Glory and Superhot VR. This bundle will also contain two Move Controllers.
The second bundle will include Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Moss, and will retail for $299.99. The lack of Move Controllers in that bundle explains the lower price point.
Both bundles will contain the PS VR headset, the PS Camera, and Demo Disc 2.0 (lots of good stuff on there). The blog entry also included this blurb:
“PS VR currently has a robust portfolio of nearly 340 PS VR games and experiences worldwide and will continue to expand with new titles on the horizon, such as Blood & Truth, Déraciné, Ghost Giant, Star Child and more.”
I find it shocking to see that there are 340 PS VR games. So many awesome new titles have been coming out with such regularity over the last couple of month that I can’t keep up with all of them. Players that were originally put off by the $500 price point might want to take a second look at PS VR. With the lower price point, expanding library, and increase in game length and quality, this might be the time to jump on board.
