Donut County releases tomorrow

Donut County, the game where you play as a hole in the ground, releases tomorrow.

With all of the monster hunting and mummy shooting I've been doing these days, playing as a hole in the ground that swallows things up looks like a refreshing change of pace.

Developed by a guy named Ben Esposito, Donut County has you sliding a hole around and engulfing items, which makes your hole bigger, which allows you to engulf larger items. Apparently there are some puzzle dynamics at play here, but really, that core loop sounds relaxing enough to keep me entertained for a while. I'm getting some serious Katamari vibes off of this one, and that's never a bad thing.

Donut County releases tomorrow, August 28, on PS4, Steam, GOG and the Apple App Store. Prices may vary, but it seems to be in the $12 - $15 range.
