Frontier Games released to power of the gods into the hands of the world’s video game playing mortals today. Jurassic World Evolution is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam, and tiny simulated park-goers will never be the same.
Jurassic World Evolution places the controls of the world’s most dangerous theme parks in the hands of players, allowing them to create and evolve new dinosaurs and attractions, and then presumably unleash said dinosaurs on the poor fools that showed up to gawk at them. The development team went all out, pulling big screen talents Jeff Goldblum, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong to portray their franchise characters for Evolution. One can probably expect Ian Malcolm to deliver endless dire warnings and dark predictions, all with stylish good humor.
“Jurassic World Evolution immerses players and fans of the movies in the Jurassic World universe,” said Jonny Watts, Frontier’s Chief Creative Officer. “With masses of rich franchise lore, iconic characters, incredible living dinosaurs and islands you can reshape and construct however you choose, Jurassic World Evolution brings the dream of building and running your own Isla Nublar to life. This is YOUR Jurassic World, and we can’t wait to see what players create.”
Frontier also announced the upcoming release of new game content for all Jurassic World Evolution players, introducing six new dinosaurs featured in the new movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, including the incredibly unethical Dr. Wu’s newest unholy creation: the Indoraptor. The content update will be available on all systems for free starting June 22.
Pity the world’s digital feeder goats. Their short, sad lives will soon be at an end.
