We have long known that Divinity: Original Sin 2 was coming to consoles, but today we got some details and a new trailer.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition will be arriving on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 31st, 2018. In addition to the base game, the new edition brings some enhanced features, including a party inventory system, a new journal system, a new tutorial, updated PVP features and new difficulty settings. The team at Larian Studios has also completely rewritten the third chapter (though I’m not entirely sure what was wrong with it in the first place – the original release has a 93 on Metacritic).
Those that pre-order for either system right now will be able to grab the Sir Lora DLC when the game comes out. Xbox One users can also take a look at how the game plays on console right now by playing through the opening few hours via the Xbox Game Preview.
