I always perk up and pay attention when a Triple-A developer brings a well-known franchise to mobile. The new Might & Magic game from Ubisoft is of particular interest, as it does not tie in with any current console releases, and though the franchise has many devoted fans, it has been a little dormant of late. It will be interesting to see how fans react to this new take on the franchise.
Elemental Guardians casts players as a young apprentice wizard at a magical academy. As part of your training, you travel the land, capturing magical fantasy creatures, which you can then train and evolve. Hmm… that premise sounds vaguely familiar.
Though the gameplay concepts might be familiar, the game looks as though Ubisoft brought a lot of resources on board to develop a quality game. There are over 400 creatures to capture, and the game boasts PVE and PVP battles, quests, guilds, and weekly tournaments.
