Wired Productions has announced that their platformer, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, will release on Nintendo Switch on April 24th. To celebrate the release, Wired has put together this clever video, showing 15 ways that Max can meet his demise in the new game.
The video also slyly shows off a lot of the game’s unique features, like the “slow time rope drawing” mechanic that allows players to freeze Max in midair and draw a rope into the game for Max to latch onto and save himself. There are also plentiful Wilhelm Screams on display for fans of that particular sound effect (is it weird that a sound effect has fans?).
Max: The Curse of Brotherhood looks like a lot of fun for platformer fans. Folks on Steam seem to love the original 2014 PC release. Switch has become extremely fertile ground for indie releases, with at least ten new games releasing every week. It will be interesting to watch and see if Max has what it takes to stand out of the crowd.
