I love a good nutty trailer, and this is one of the nuttiest I’ve seen in a while. I’m going to be quoting this thing for at least a week. No one will know what I’m talking about, but that’s fine.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, the 2015 Dynasty Warriors-style psycho manga beat-em-up is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 10, 2018. The release will contain the original base game and over 40 pieces of DLC, “including challenging missions and zany costumes.” Two player local co-op is also included. Gaming Nexus reviewed the original title when it released, and really enjoyed the chaotic fun it offered.
Now, let’s talk about that trailer. It is difficult to choose my favorite part. Is it the guy with the giant wrecking-ball hand shrieking “Don’t make my navigator cry!”? Is it the creepy skull-face guy plowing down dudes while yelling “I’m glad to be alive!”? Or maybe it’s the weeping woman in black, screaming “Take me out to sea with you!” while she obliterates rows of opponents. I don’t know, it’s all pretty fantastic. I showed the trailer to a buddy at work, and he said “That’s the most Japanese thing that ever Japanesed.” I think that statement about covers it.
