The king of swing and golden bananas, Donkey Kong himself is coming to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle this spring in a new story campaign that takes the game to a new world. From the looks of the trailer it appears to be DK Island, which makes sense, and the Rabbids' headgear makes it look like maybe they've teamed up with the Tiki Tak tribe from DK Country Returns. This DLC will be available as part of the season pass or for purchase separately.
I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of XCOM style strategy or Rabbids so Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was a hard pass for me. That said I'm glad it was such a surprise success and found an audience that loves it, and I'm happy Ubisoft and Nintendo continue to support it.
Donkey Kong Smashes His Way into Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle DLC
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle introduces a new playable hero, Donkey Kong, in upcoming downloadable content. Donkey Kong will be featured in an original story, taking place in a new world. Donkey Kong will be exclusive to this brand new adventure, planned for release in Spring 2018.
The DLC will available as part of the Season Pass or can be purchased as stand-alone content.
