With the results set to be released January 15th, a "carefully curated list of media, athletes and EA SPORTS FIFA community members" are now deciding who the best of the best are for FIFA Ultimate Team in FIFA 18. These chosen few will be given a custom ballot box and are expected to post a photo of their team on social media with the hashtag #TOTYVote by January 12th. This vote makes up 60% of the final tally, with EA SPORTS "casting" the balance. I guess that's a good way to remove some bias and certainly some ballot box stuffing, but it seems anticlimactic not to give the community a say.
Once the voting is concluded and the team released, this players will be given special "in-form" cards available in-game in FUT packs as well as on FIFA Mobile. More info can be found on the official site, and the lineup of players are the typical who's who of world football, including most of the entire Madrid and Barcelona squads, with a fair representation of PSG, Chelsea, Man City, Bayern, and even Tottenham players as well. You can see the field below, but don't strain your eyes and just go to the official site for a rundown by position group.
