I think we can all agree that Street Fighter is one of the most important video game franchises of all time. Street Fighter 2 basically started a phenomenon that has been going for 30 years and other fighting game franchises owe a part of their success to Street Fighter 2. 30 years later and the franchise is still going with the third season of Street Fighter V beginning next month.
To celebrate 30 years of Street Fighter, Capcom has announced the Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. The game will feature arcade perfect versions of 12 major Street Fighter games.
Here is what is included in the package
Other features include an interactive timeline of the series' story, concept art, a sprite viewer and music gallery. Hyper Fighting, Turbo, Alpha 3 and 3rd Strike will also include online play and will have Ranked and Casual online play along with leaderboards.
3rd Strike is what I am most excited for as it is my favorite Street Fighter game of the series as it's the first one that I played many years ago.
The collection will release May 2018
