New PUBG Desert Map trailer to play during The Game Awards
You know that a videogame has grabbed the zeitgeist when its publisher is announcing a trailer for a new map. Not the release of new maps, mind you. The release of a trailer for a new map.
PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (which is technically still in early access) will be premiering a trailer for their new desert map during The Game Awards. The Game Awards take place next Thursday, December 7th, at 8:30 PM EST. Information on how to watch the show can be found here, and the list of nominees can be found here.
Interestingly, PUBG is nominated as Game of the Year award by The Game Awards, so I guess that organization comes down on the “yes’ side of the whole “can you nominate an early access game” debate.
I asked a friend who is a big PUBG enthusiast whether the release of this trailer was big news, and he looked at me like I was crazy and said “Oh yeah!”. So PUBG fans, tune in one week from today to see the new map. In other news, Fortnite rules!
