Carentan, a map that's had an appearance or influence in at least four Call of Duty titles, makes its return as DLC for Day One Season Pass holders or those who buy the Digital Deluxe Edition. Carentan is a war-torn French town, filled with hollowed-out buildings and roads, burned out tanks and plenty of gunfire in this multiplayer map.
Although the trailer is largely a cinematic presentation, it is very clear that the type of gameplay involved is a shift away from Call of Duty's MO. Instead of a one-man-army, as depicted in many of the titles before WWII, it is very clear that what's going on for both sides is very much a team effort. It's fresh, and as a result becomes more than just a video showing off the great graphics and the realistic violence.
There is a DLC announcement at the end of the trailer called The Resistance, out first on PS4 on January 30th, 2018.
Call of Duty: WWII releases November 3rd, 2017.
