Mario to travel around the real world as prelude to Mario Odyssey release

Super Mario Odyssey will be released Oct 27th exclusively on Switch. Before that, however, fans will have a two week time frame to visit him across the country. Starting in Los Angeles October 10th, he will be going to 5 different "kingdoms" to stop and visit with fans. He will be at:

• Los Angeles, CA - Universal City Walk
• Dallas, TX - State Fair of Texas - Oct 18th
• Chicago, IL - Navy Pier - Oct 21st
• Philadelphia - Philadelphia Museum of Art - Oct 24th
• New York - Rockefeller Center - Oct 26th

The first 200 people in NY will be able to purchase the game at midnight and after everyone else may get it at the NY Nintendo Store. The Mario trailer will also be making site-seeing stops across the long journey to take pictures - just like a tourist.

Super Mario Odyssey will also launch a new bundle that comes with the Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Odyssey download code, Mario-themed Joy-Con controllers and a carry case with a suggested price of $379.99.
