I spend most of my time in WWE games inside their massive creation suite. In my opinion, WWE games have one of the best character creation system in the whole gaming industry. I can sit there for hours fine tuning characters, move sets, entrances, arenas, belts and more so this is a video I have been waiting quite some time for. After this video, I can say that I am quite pleased with this years updates.
First off we got to see the additions to create a wrestler including more preset faces featuring different races and ethnicites. In WWE 2K17 you were forced to start with a single default face for male and female CAW's and you had to work from there so this will make things so much easier if you want to make a bunch of diverse CAW's.
Another cool feature is some new materials including glow and blacklight so you can now create your own glow in the dark entrances like Naomi's. You can also use the emboss feature for tattoos and body art. Now it will look like logos have been branded onto your CAW's skin. That's kinda weird to me but still cool regardless.
In terms of Create an Arena, two brand new arena templates have been added including high school gyms and the famous Hammerstein Ballroom, famous for WWE's ECW One Night Stand PPV.
Then we get to my favorite part of the video which is the new "Create a Match" feature. This has been a feature that was removed years ago but is now back and completely revamped. Now we get to select a match and modify various setting of the match, allowing us to save them as completely new matches. For instance, if you wanted to have a Fatal 4 Way Iron Man Match where only Finishers count towards points, you can set this up and save it to play later.
Finally, the video ends with a showcase of all the new moves that were added to WWE 2K18.
WWE 2K18 launches on October 17th for PS4 and Xbox One. Deluxe Edition owners get 4 day early access on October 13th
