Everyone's favorite green dinosaur is headed to Nintendo Switch in 2018. With "Yoshi" as the working title, this new game is a platformer in the fine tradition that began with Yoshi's Island on SNES, but this one appears to push the 2.5D aspect further than previous games. Yoshi (and I would assume any co-op partners) can run into the background of levels and boss fights, and Yoshi can interact with the environment more than ever before.
This new game has a cardboard-and-craft art style that harkens back to the crayon-and-marker motif of the SNES original, which allows for some dynamically changing levels. That said, I have to admit that compared to the gorgeous textile art style of Yoshi's Wooly World on Wii U, this new Yoshi game looks a bit ugly. What do you think? Check out the trailer and let us know.
