The grand final for Sony's E3 2017 press conference was an 8 minute showing of Spider-Man. The open-world game by Insomniac and exclusive to the PlayStation 4 looked pretty heroic.
It's got a sort of Arkham or Uncharted vibe to it. Spider-Man moves just like how you would imagine it and Insomniac really did well in the variety of attacks available with his web shooters. Spidey also used various objects in the environment to take the bad guys down.
There are a LOT of quicktime events, but that's to be expected when trying to create heroic events such as saving a falling crane from crashing into the New York public below.
Oh, and Miles Morales gets a nice tease at the end.
Spider-Man does look really impressive and the demo has really gotten great public reaction. You'll be able to play the game in 2018.
