Newest update to Power Rangers: Legacy Wars brings some changes, including the "Return of an Old Friend"

I did my best to work in a bit of a pun with the title, though if you're a fan of the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers you might take that the wrong way. Anyway, a recent update to Power Rangers: Legacy Wars on iOS and Android brings a few changes as well as another ranger to the series: Tommy Oliver as the Mighty Morphin' White Ranger. I was going to work in "White Light" to the title, but it wouldn't have made much sense.

Anyway, in addition to just having the White Ranger in the game, Jason David Frank actually teamed up with Lionsgate, Saban Brands, and developer nWay  to help design the White Ranger's move-set. That is actually pretty awesome. In addition to the White Ranger, the game is also getting a completely revamped "Combat 2.0" ruleset which has a few changes to the combat. First, Strikes will now defeat Breakers at any time during the Breaker animation. Also, the hit reaction from an in-coming attack on an Assist warrior will carry over to the leader warrior which will require players to think more about when to use an Assist in various situations. Finally, recovery time has been reduced to give blocked players a better chance at countering.

The update also brings a new Mission System where players must hone their skills for daily and weekly challenges that provide rewards not available in PvP, a new League 8 Juice Bar Arena where you have to beat down your opponents in the Juice Bar from the original series, and four new characters new to the game including Rito Revolto, one of the main villains introduced in the third season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Hopefully he can put up as much of a challenge as he did when he destroyed the Thunder Zords because...well let's face it, he kind of became a bumbling idiot after that.
