Yesterday, Star Wars Celebration Orlando had their EA panel and a lot of details were released on Star Wars Battlefront II.
The single player campaign was heavily focused and you'll be taking part in the Dark Side. The story revolves around Iden Versio, an Imperial soldier who survives the destruction of the Death Star in Return of the Jedi because she was on a mission on Endor when it exploded.
Iden leads the Inferno Squad, bent on revenge against those who took down the Emperor. The story you'll participate in will be part of the Star Wars canon, so everything that happens will be acknowledged as such when it comes to the Star Wars lore.
You'll also get to play as other characters in the single player campaign takes you through a story that spans from the end of Return of the Jedi to The Force Awakens.
Of course, there'll be plenty of updates to the multiplayer portion of the game. Ground battles will pit 40 people against each other while space battles lets 24 players dogfight it out. The heroes will be able to be updated with new abilities and customizations for new looks and more powerful attacks. Criterion was brought in to help with the vehicles so hopefully, they'll drive and fly better in this game. And yes, classes will be making a comeback.
Content spans all eras so there'll be no shortage of characters and vehicles to choose from.
More information can be found at EA's website for the game.
November 17th will be the release date for Star Wars Battlefront II and here's hoping it'll be a much improved game from the lackluster previous one.
