This was the one thing I was hoping for the most when Nintendo announced that the newest Nintendo Direct would focus on both ARMS and Splatoon 2. Nintendo not only announced a release date for Splatoon 2 but also showed off a brand new game mode called "Salmon Run". Salmon Run looks great as it's going to be a four player co-op hoard mode for the game. I love hoard modes so any game that has a game mode like this, I always look forward to.
Splatoon 2 will also have a brand new line of Amiibo's coming out the same day of release as well including the Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy and Inkling Squid. These new Amiibos can be scanned in game and will let you save certain loadouts to said Amiibo. So if you have the perfect character put together, you can register that to an Amiibo and then you will be able to try out new load outs and such. Whenever you want to use your character with all your favorite loadouts, just scan the Amiibo and they will automatically be placed in game.
Splatoon 2 launches on July 21st for Nintendo Switch.
