If you were a fan of Diablo II back in the day, then this'll sound familiar. Though Blizzard hasn't yet announced an exact release date for the DLC, they have announced that Diablo III is set to see the return of the Necromancer class. We've known this for a while, but Blizzard just released details about the closed beta where you can test out the class for yourself.
Available in the upcoming Rise of the Necromancer pack, the Necromancer will have a very similar skill set to that of its predecessor, so it's a very throwback type of character. Personally, I'm a fan of the Demon Hunter and Monk, but if I get the time (and ability) I might just have to check out this homage.
Invitations to the closed beta are just around the corner, according to Blizzard, but they caution that this material is still in development and is subject to change.
