While Disney games today are kind of hit and miss, they were actually really good back in the NES days when they were published by Capcom...well, most of them anyway. I've spent countless hours on Ducktales, Talespin, and Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers...even more so when I was a kid, but I digress. While we did get Ducktales Remastered a while back I've been always wanting to see the other Disney NES games re-released in some way, and now we're actually getting it.
Titled The Disney Afternoon Collection after the Disney in the Afternoon Block that aired in the 90s, the collection contains six classic Disney NES games: Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Ducktales, Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers, and two of the more rare NES games, Ducktales 2 and Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers 2. The collection will also have new features such as time attack, rewind, boss rush, and a museum option to check out some behind the scenes look at the games. To say I'm frothing at the mouth right now is a bit of an understatement. The collection will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam on April 18th. The only downside is that there's no announced port for the Nintendo Switch, Wii U, or 3DS. Odd considering that these are all originally NES games.
