Well, the date is rapidly approaching. On March 21, PS4, Xbox One, and PC players will finally be able to dive into the world of Mass Effect: Andromeda, and let me tell you—I am hyped.
The new launch trailer, visible below, gives players a glimpse of the new characters, races, worlds, and dangers the Ryder siblings must face as they search for a new home for humanity. Honestly, it's a sparkling promise of the game; the only thing that Bioware didn't follow through on was their promise to split marketing between the twins. Then again, I can't say I'm surprised that they have a thousand trailers with white Scott Ryder and about two trailers with white Sarah Ryder. The franchise is spectacular; there's just a bit to be desired with representation, and I'm sure they'll work on that in the future.
Also, if you're headed to PAX East this weekend, keep an eye out for the BioWare panel on March 10 at 4:00, which is...today, so if you happen to be reading this and are in the area, get moving! You could totally still make it. It'll be in the Main Theatre of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Also, be sure to catch Creative Director Mac Walters on the Major Nelson panel on March 11 (1:30pm) and the various stations for hands-on multiplayer at the Microsoft booth.
(If you're not at PAX East and are lamenting your absence, fear not! The BioWare panel will be streamed live on the official PAX channel, which you can definitely still catch.)
Check out the launch trailer below—and have fun out there, Pathfinders.
