From now until February 19th, Final Fantasy XV is hosting the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, a special event involving Chocobo racing, shooting challenges, and festive treats. The event is part of the free or paid Holiday Pack, available through the PSN or Microsoft Store.
It might not fall perfectly in line with the narrative of FF XV, but it's not really meant to. Hopefully it will just provide a good distraction with some interesting activities to extend the experience of an epic RPG, even if that extension is a bit sideways from the core plot.
