Revealed back in 2014, Games of Glory [official site] is now in the final stretch. This 3v3 and 5v5 top-down shooter has a bright, Rocket League-like palette that's fond of saturated blue and orange lighting. Cool. It has an esport vibe, too, with roaring audiences cheering on their favorite gladiators.
The premise in Games of Glory is simple: Gear up quick, rush the center of the map, take each other out. Each round is worth one point, and the first to five points wins the match.
There are 15 unique "Clones" from five classes to choose from. Each class has unique abilities and skills. During a match, you can equip and upgrade 50+ unique non-character-specific weapons. We're talking shotguns, rifles, pistols, rocket launchers, and melee weapons.
Games of Glory will be playable at PlayStation Experience 2016 (December 3–4) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The developer, Lightbulb Crew, is a young independent studio working out of Paris, France, and Stockholm, Sweden. They've got veterans from Ubisoft, DICE, and Dontnod on their roster.
Games of Glory is coming to PC and PlayStation 4 in early 2017, will be free to play, and will also be crossplay enabled so players from both platforms will be facing off in the same matches.
