For those who don't know me that well (or have never seen my gamer tag), Scyther's been my favorite Pokemon since the days of Pokemon Red and Blue. When Pokken Tournament first came out I was hoping that Scyther would be one of the playable Pokemon, but sadly it wasn't so I settled for maining Braixen instead. However, while browsing through Facebook I saw a post from Shoryuken.com about a new DLC character being announced for the arcade version of the game in Japan. While it's not Scyther, it's close enough as the Bug/Steel type Scizor will be heading to Pokken Tournament.
Sadly, along with Darkrai who was announced as DLC for the arcade version back in July, it's not known if Scizor will be coming to the Wii U version of the game or be exclusive to the arcade version. It'd be kind of sad if we never got any DLC characters on the Wii U, so I'm kind of holding out hope. While it's not Scyther, I wouldn't mind picking up Scizor as at least an alt, if not as a main while making Braxien my alt.
