The Pokemon U.S. Nationals have begun in Columbus, OH. The TGC Championships have been underway for about a 45 minutes and the Video Game Championships should be starting soon. If you are planning on attending, especially to spectate, there are a couple of things to note.
First, as I type this I've only been in one hall which seems to have each of the three main tournaments as well as the area to register for side events. I'm not sure right off if there's more to see in another hall, but considering how much is in tha main hall, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't. Second, the only big screen to spectate is in the back of the hall with the main stream, but there are two monitors to either side that show the TCG and Video Game streams, plus the there is a decent amount of seating if you're like me and get tired of standing.
Third, there are a couple of vendors here if you need to get your TCG fix. Right off I saw Collector's Cache and Troll & Toad, and I haven't seen anymore yet. As per the norm for events there are also a few food vendors set up in case you get hungry enough to pay convention center food prices.
So far the event is going pretty well and is quite awesome to see in person. If you want to catch any of the streams, head over to www.pokemonchampionships.com.
