All the major consoles have a Plex app, but what about running your own server. Previously, you'd have to build a computer and set one up, which isn't too bad. But now, there's a more cost effective solution.
Plex has released a server software for the NVIDIA Shield, which can now become your server for your media and serve up 4K video at 60 frames per second to your TV, tablet, PC, or gaming console. You can grab one for as low as $180.
Plug in a USB drive and you can increase the storage capabilities of the NVIDIA Shield. I always liked the Shield device and now that you can get a relatively inexpensive Plex server by buying one, that makes it even more of a great value.
